Sebastian Hübner is a concert singer, teacher and choir director. Before studying at the Stuttgart and Mannheim music colleges, he trained as a violin maker. His most important teachers were Gerd Türk and Albrecht Ostertag.
Sebastian Hübner is in international demand as an oratorio singer and Bach interpreter. He devotes himself primarily to contemporary music as a member of the Schola Heidelberg ensemble, with which he regularly performs at renowned festivals for new music and has recorded numerous CDs.
Sebastian Hübner has appeared on the opera stage in contemporary works at the Munich Biennale, the Berlin Festival, the National Theater Mannheim and the Frankfurt Opera.
A long-standing collaboration in Lied singing connects him with the fortepiano specialist Kristian Nyquist, with whom he is currently preparing a recital in Aarau/CH.
Sebastian Hübner is professor at the Heidelberg University of Church Music. With his ensemble Kammerchor Bruchsal, he will perform Claudio Monteverdi's Vespro della Beata Vergine in 2024.
